Since Connexion Shenzhen, organized by Sinoexpo Informa Markets, was first established in Shenzhen in December 2023, it has now been running for three years. With the strong support of the Shenzhen Municipal Commerce Bureau, Shenzhen Exhibition Industry Association, Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, and various business associations, Connexion Shenzhen has been recognized as one of Shenzhen’s BEST+ Global Influential Exhibitions and BEST+ Industry Exhibitions for the 2023-2025 period.

Under these circumstances, On December 17th, during the Connexion Shenzhen event, Shanghai Sinoexpo Informa Markets International Exhibition Co., Ltd. held the establishment ceremony for Sinoexpo Informa Markets Shenzhen Branch (Under Preparation) and the Connexion Shenzhen Partner Forum at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. This was organized to further secure greater support from various partners and better promote the future upgrade, development, and localization of the exhibition. Nearly 80 key leaders and guests attended from organizations including the Shenzhen Exhibition Industry Association, Bao’an District Commerce Bureau, Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products, Guangdong Organic Agriculture Association, Guangdong Chain Store & Franchise Association, Guangdong Food Packaging Association, Guangdong Technical Packaging Association, Shenzhen Culinary Association, Shenzhen Hotel Industry Association, and other associations, chambers of commerce, and partner organizations.

The meeting was hosted by Mr. XQ Zhang Xueqiang, GM of IM Sinoexpo, who first reviewed the development history of company in the South China region, explained the purpose of this meeting, and expressed gratitude to all guests for taking time out of their busy schedules to attend this forum! XQ announced that to further strengthen the company’s development in the South China region and build a localized team, IM Informa Markets is establishing a Shenzhen Branch (Under Preparation) effective immediately.

Ms. Bess Lin Bing, Head of Shenzhen Branch (Under Preparation), took the stage to introduce her main personal background to everyone. She expressed her hope that with everyone’s support, the localized operations of IM Sinoexpo exhibitions in Shenzhen will achieve steady development, and she looks forward to working together with all attendees for mutual success!

Mr. Wang Mingliang, Founder and Director of IM Sinoexpo, introduced the development direction and goals of Connexion Shenzhen as well as innovative initiatives for the 2026 exhibition. He first briefly reviewed company’s development history and his personal experience, and introduced the company’s three different types of exhibitions, which have formed the company’s three major business divisions. IM Sinoexpo values the opportunities in Shenzhen, so the decision was made to mobilize the entire company’s resources to create Connexion Shenzhen and develop it into a mega-scale exhibition. Through hosting Connexion Shenzhen in Shenzhen over the past three years, IM Sinoexpo has gained experience and insights. It is precisely with this experience and understanding that today’s forum was organized to jointly discuss the localization path for Connexion Shenzhen.
Mr. Wang then used the Guzhen Lighting Fair Exhibition Company as an example, explaining how through successful operations by a localized team, they achieved annual spring domestic ordering conferences and autumn export-oriented lighting fairs, bringing over 100,000 domestic and international visitors to Guzhen each year. The establishment of Shenzhen Branch expresses the company’s determination to establish roots in Shenzhen and cultivate the Greater Bay Area deeply. By replicating the Guzhen’s model, they aim to achieve localized exhibitions in the Bay Area. The company in Shenzhen, exhibitions in Shenzhen, employees in Shenzhen, revenue in Shenzhen, and taxes in Shenzhen – all contributing to the GBA’s economic development and the strategic development of dual circulation for both export and domestic sales.
Finally, Mr. Wang expressed hope to replicate IM Sinoexpo strong resources in overseas visitor organization to Shenzhen. Through further strengthening cooperation with partners already collaborating in Shenzhen, and exploring new cooperation opportunities with new partners, he hopes that in Shenzhen, there will be more co-creation and more collaboration in the future!

Subsequently, Ms. Weng Yonghe, Executive Chairman of IM Sinoexpo’s Rotating Presidium, Evp, and GM of M&H Business Division; Ms. Zhong Beihong, Rotating Chairman of the company’s Rotating Presidium, Evp, and GM of Furniture Business Division; and Ms. Fan Haiyan, Rotating Chairman of the company’s Rotating Presidium, Evp, and GM of Hotel, Food and Lifestyle Business Division, respectively introduced the guests to the development history and future development plans in Shenzhen for the CPHI pharmaceutical exhibition series and health & packaging series exhibitions, China International Furniture Fair and Maison Shanghai and the hotel, food and lifestyle series exhibitions. Through screening exciting video highlights from this year’s exhibitions, the attending guests gained a deeper understanding of the exhibitions’ grand scale and distinctive advantages.



Finally, XQ warmly invited the attending guests to provide innovative suggestions and ideas for our company’ development in Shenzhen. Shenzhen Exhibition Industry Association, Shenzhen Bao’an District Commerce Bureau, Secretary-General Xian Foshan Environmental Sanitation and Cleaning Association, Shenzhen Culinary Association, the Yulin City Market Supervision Administration in Guangxi, and China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products all shared their thoughts and suggestions.

Then XQ thanked all guests for their sharing and earnest expectations, expressing that IM Sinoexpo will continue to work hard and join hands with all partners to welcome a bright future together. After the meeting, many guests remained to engage in enthusiastic discussions with our leaders at all levels regarding cooperation arrangements and aspirations for next year.
