On July 30, 2021, the Seventh Shanghai Sinoexpo Informa Markets Individual Idle Item Charity Sale launched by the Sustained Development Team of the company was brought to a satisfactory conclusion. The charity event won extensive recognition and a warm response from the company leaders and staff. After one-month preparation, it collected 700-plus idle items from Shanghai-based headquarter and its branches in Beijing and Guangzhou as well as Zhongshan Guzhen Lighting Expo Co. Various kinds of items would be sold at the good prices for charity purpose.
Employees got involved and passed on love and care through shopping at two-day charity bazaar, and meanwhile they enjoyed themselves when searching their loved ones among the wide array of donated items. Besides, the “blind box” game also added fun to the event. The reuse of idle goods is also to implement the concept of sustainable development.
The charity event totally raised the record-high amount of RMB 18283.4, which will become part of the company’s Charity Fund. All the proceeds together with 238 donated books will be remitted to a county library located in the old liberated area as well as Eastern Brain Science Research Institute Shanghai & Shanghai Jinmei Elderly Care, which are dedicated to Assisting People With Alzheimer’s Disease. The Sinoexpo Informa Markets Charity Fund was established by our employees. Recently, the Charity Fund also launched a fundraising activity and called on employees to donate for the disaster relief work in Xinxiang, a city hit hard by flooding in Henan province,China.
In the future, the Charity Fund will be committed to caring for the society, performing its social responsibilities and contributing its own share to building a more harmonious society.
